superheroine

Oh My God its WonderWoman for Mac.... about time, a makeup superhero!!!!

Wonder Woman is an Amazon (based on the Amazons of Greek mythology. a distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men. Her powers include superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. She also possesses an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. She uses her Lasso of Truth, which forces those bound by it to tell the truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and an invisible airplane. One word.... Hot!

today i bought a few things from the new range, my new fav the Bronze Glitter.... as i was testing out the bronzers i accidentally spilt the whole pot of pigment all over my foot which actually looked quite amazing i decided to buy it. The girl who served me got so excited and plans to do the same to her feet for this Saturday's Mardi Gras! hilarious? i think yes!

Reflects Glitter $32 AUS
Reflects Pearl White glitter with pearl sheen and Reflects Bronze Sparkling rich gold.

"dramatic doesn't even begin to describe the girl who knows she's Peacocky"

the exotic peacock as a symbol of extreme beauty, raging against everything simplistic.
im loving the kissable lip colour's, they provide a medium coverage with the creamy comfort of a lipstick and a shiny finish of a lip gloss. the lightweight, comfortable formula provides a luminous, smooth finish. it’s feather-resistant and wears for hours.

the shades..... strut your stuff and woo me are my favorites!
* Enchantée Light blue pink
* Exxxhibitionist Red-toned coral
* Flaunting It Grey mauve
* Love Peck Blackened blood red
* Peacocky Sky blue with red pearl
* Scandelicious Blue fuchsia
* So Vain Muted dirty coral
* Strut Your Stuff Bright true red
* Super Muted neutral brown
* Temper Tantra Mid-tone reddish brown

a little over the top, but in a good way

a little something to look forward to this august! a collection of bright and outrageous colours from mac that will brighten any winters day. i'm a hardcore fan of anything bright and crazy..... an excuse to make ones face look like a tropical cocktail with a zillion garnishes coming out of it. the collection... dare to wear, international launch date is this coming august which involves 6 new lip glasses and 12 new eye shadows.

with these eye popping shades create a crazy-intense look, highly-pigmented powder. applies evenly and blends well.

pink hot raccoons

lanvin fall winter 2010 shows off an amazing dramatic makeup, flaunting dark raccoon eyes and punchy pink lips.

to create this dark smokey eye you will need to start preping your canvas to ensure an easy application of makeup and for long lasting results. to do this i use a mac prep and prime all over the lid using either my finger or concealer brush.
i then powder under the eyes if i have already done my foundation, don't worry if this is messy its here to catch your fall out.

neutralizing the eye apply a soft, neutral eye shadow with a simple eye shadow brush all over the mobile lid and up to the eye brow. take a light shadow with a high shimmer through it and apply to the inner corners of the eyes and under eyebrows for an opalescent highlight, unless you wish to bring the smokey eye up over the eye brows as seen in lavins winter campaign.

now there are several methods of creating a smokey eye and many different products, but for now im going to use a shader brush to apply greasepaint stick over the eyelid. continue using shader brush with greasepaint stick through the crease, greasepaint is a smooth and creamy black eye crayon that provides ultra-high-level coverage, this is also from mac.
apply smolder eye kohl through the waterline of the upper and lower lashline, and then use a short shader brush to blend greasepaint stick through the upper and lower lashes.
i would then layer a dark kohl shadow on top such as carbon from mac, this will set the product, protecting it from smudging or moving.

finish the eyes with a generous coat of black mascara on both upper and lower lashes. i would recommend dior show. now wipe away your powder from under your eyes and remember its not only the products but the tools you use that are just as important.

other options for a smokey eye would be to just use a eye shadow such as the carbon mentioned earlier, the shadow is so highly pigmented that the colour comes out solid blackness, you could use black track fluid line from mac also, i love that product to death, you could use cream colour base which is a cream shadow from mac that is versatile and multi-purpose, can be applied directly to bare skin, or layered over foundation, moisturiser, or powder. applied with a brush, sponge, or fingers - colour effects range from a light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application. okey one more before i go on all day, paint pots all though they do tend to move but that doesn't have to be a bad thing, i'd dab a gloss on top and go for the wet greasy look. so much fun.

i adore a cold summer

shock horror! the winter is kicking in and our beach days are slowly over... but we always have ways to fake a beautiful bronzed tan and sun-kissed faces!

im in love with a natural makeup, warm tones and a healthy glow. so obviously i fell in love with mac's new 'to the beach' collection which brings us a range of bronzing powders, cream bronzers, lustre drops, bronze body oil, and stylish city-to-seaside bags. the packaging is so cute!
im excited to get my fingers on the lustre drops, which provides a sheer, natural-looking highlight with a luminous, shimmering finish. you can use it on the face or body, available in 'pink rebel' which is a blue pink with gold pearl and the 'sun rush' which has a peachy bronze with gold pearl to it.
the new bronzing, shimmering body oil formulated to bring a sheer sheen and sexy gleam, has a fusion of three botanical oils to help soften, smooth and moisturize skin... arghhh cant wait.

i eat orange every day

i'm really into my orange at the moment.... it all started when i bought Mac's Morange Amplified. loving it with nude eyes and a bronzed face or a very washed out, pale look and just the lip.
i love this shade so much i want to colour in my whole face with it...

opi the best nail polish in this world... something extra bright, Atomic Orange and for a more of a matte look In My Back Pocket. they are apart of the opi brights collection and im an addict for them and the cute names...

lashes from shu uemura are close to being my absolute favorite, this is also the brand i use for skin care. they range from stunning to crazy out there, i recently bought the Rainbow Flare False Eyelashes which are a set of neon bright individuals that are so fun to mix in with your own lashes especially a couple on the outer corners. the orange and reds are the best in the box.

then there is microshadows from the makeup store, colour? Sunrise. this eyeshadow is highly pigmented and gives such a rich colour and a long lasting result. you can blend it with mixing liquid for a waterproof make up or to make a bright eyeliner.
