lanvin fall winter 2010 shows off an amazing dramatic makeup, flaunting dark raccoon eyes and punchy pink lips.

to create this dark smokey eye you will need to start preping your canvas to ensure an easy application of makeup and for long lasting results. to do this i use a mac prep and prime all over the lid using either my finger or concealer brush.
i then powder under the eyes if i have already done my foundation, don't worry if this is messy its here to catch your fall out.
neutralizing the eye apply a soft, neutral eye shadow with a simple eye shadow brush all over the mobile lid and up to the eye brow. take a light shadow with a high shimmer through it and apply to the inner corners of the eyes and under eyebrows for an opalescent highlight, unless you wish to bring the smokey eye up over the eye brows as seen in lavins winter campaign.
now there are several methods of creating a smokey eye and many different products, but for now im going to use a shader brush to apply greasepaint stick over the eyelid. continue using shader brush with greasepaint stick through the crease, greasepaint is a smooth and creamy black eye crayon that provides ultra-high-level coverage, this is also from mac.
apply smolder eye kohl through the waterline of the upper and lower lashline, and then use a short shader brush to blend greasepaint stick through the upper and lower lashes.
i would then layer a dark kohl shadow on top such as carbon from mac, this will set the product, protecting it from smudging or moving.
finish the eyes with a generous coat of black mascara on both upper and lower lashes. i would recommend dior show. now wipe away your powder from under your eyes and remember its not only the products but the tools you use that are just as important.
other options for a smokey eye would be to just use a eye shadow such as the carbon mentioned earlier, the shadow is so highly pigmented that the colour comes out solid blackness, you could use black track fluid line from mac also, i love that product to death, you could use cream colour base which is a cream shadow from mac that is versatile and multi-purpose, can be applied directly to bare skin, or layered over foundation, moisturiser, or powder. applied with a brush, sponge, or fingers - colour effects range from a light veil to highly dramatic, depending on method of application. okey one more before i go on all day, paint pots all though they do tend to move but that doesn't have to be a bad thing, i'd dab a gloss on top and go for the wet greasy look. so much fun.
